LADY KILLER RONALDO STUNS JUVENTUS ON A MAGICAL CHAMPIONS LEAGUE NIGHT

Last night, right in the very home of the Old Lady of Turin the reigning world's best footballer, Christiano Ronaldo added another epithet,  “Lady killer” to his many accolades.  On a night when Real Madrid and Juventus fans had expected a very close contest,  Ronaldo scored a brace, including an astonishing  overhead kick that virtually settled the tie in favour of the Madrid giants. The Los Blancos of Spain eventually defeated “the Old Lady” by 3-0 at the Turin  Stadium in this Champions League tie.

It took the Portuguese superstar just three minutes to score the opening goal of the game as he became the first player in Champions League history to score in 10 consecutive games in the competition.

However, he was far from done as he thumped a sensational scissors kick effort into the back of the net to double his side’s lead and put them in a commanding position to advance to the next round with a second crucial away goal.  The astonishing goal was his 119th in the Champions League, making him the highest goal scorer in the history of the competition.
Even the Juventus fans couldn’t help but appreciate what they saw. The home fans gave Ronaldo a standing ovation as he celebrated a well deserved cause celebre. In return, the Portuguese acknowledged the Italian generosity with a show of mutual respect as he gave them the thumbs up and bowed his head in appreciation.

At the early stage of the season, football fans all over the world felt that 33-year-old’s glory days were far behind him but he has proved us all wrong as he has  now scored 39 goals in 36 games this season, putting a lie to any talk of him being past his football apogee.

Hardworking Marcelo's goal made it 3-0 shortly after, with Ronaldo providing what most fans would call ‘an assist', helping the Spanish giants to put one foot firmly in the semi-finals.

To add salt to Juventus' injury, Paulo Dybala was sent off, further making it look impossible for Massimiliano Allegri’s men to go any further in the competition this year.
