Four Days To Election, SDP Suspends Duke, Expels Gana

Less than 96 days to the forthcoming 2019 presidential election, there is a new twist to the development in the polity. The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has expelled former Minister of Information, Prof Jerry Gana and Chief Supo Shonibare over what has been described as anti-party activities.

Also caught in this luckless tie is the former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke. This comes shortly after the party had announced withdrawing from the forthcoming presidential election  declaring its full support and solidarity for the candidacy of President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress. This has stirred discontentment among aggrieved party members.
