The embattled former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, who was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and arraigned before the Federal Capital Territory, High Court, Abuja, on a 10 count charges bordering on alleged conspiracy and fraud between him and Hamidu David Lawal, Suleiman Abubakar and two companies, Rholavision Engineering Ltd and Josmon Technologies Ltd.
In the suit filed on January 30 by Offem Uket, counsel for the commission, Lawal was said to have allegedly
to have conspired with Hamidu, a director in Rholavision and one Abubakar who works in the same organization to acquire a property fraudulently, a move which contravenes Section 2(1)(c) of the Corrupt Practices and Other
Related Offences Act, 2000 and punishable under Section 12 of the same Act.
